Greene County 4-H would not be successful without the help of volunteers, teachers, administration, donors, and the community. Sherley Selman received the Outstanding 4-H Volunteer Leader Plaque presented to her on March 11th at District Project Achievement at Rock Eagle.
Selman keeps a busy schedule. She holds several cooking classes throughout the year, runs the 4-H Rodeo booth, and helps judge projects for CPA. Selman is always up for a new task and willing to pitch in any way she can, from making cheese straws for a bake sale, to teaching students about fruits during Ag Day and recruiting new 4-Hers.
She dedicates herself to empowering the next generation of chefs, holding weekly practice leading up to the competition. Her 40 years of service are exceptional. Greene County 4-H would be nothing without her.
Selman is a priceless pillar of the community. She has given countless hours, love, and wisdom to help lead, guide, and direct 4-Hers in doing their best and being successful in life.
