Masonic Home promotes responsibility, hope

  • Last Saturday, members of Eatonton’s Rising Star Lodge #4 hosted staff and residents of the Masonic Home of Georgia at Oconee Springs Park. In between playing on the park’s giant inflatable water toys and going for boat rides on Lake Sinclair, the kids enjoyed barbequed hamburgers, hot dogs and ice-cold drinks provided and prepared for them by local Masons. For nearly 40 years, residents of Macon’s Masonic Home of Georgia (MHG) have been visiting Lake Sinclair for a day of fun at the beach. They returned this past Saturday at Oconee Springs Park as guests of Eatonton’s Rising Star Lodge #4, the fourth oldest continuously operating Mason’s lodge in the country.
