Liberty United Methodist Church (LUMC) in White Plains will host its 2nd annual Harvest Jubilee on Oct. 24, a family-friendly community event featuring live music, pit-smoked barbecue, hayrides, a fire pit and s’mores, cake walks, games, a silent auction, and a raffle for a Pit Boss Austin XL Pellet Grill.
Event admission is free, and everyone in the community is invited to attend 6-9 p.m. at 3091 Liberty Church Rd., White Plains.
Proceeds from the LUMC Harvest Jubilee will benefit Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN), a Greensboro-based organization serving individuals and families in need throughout Greene and Putnam counties.
Last year’s inaugural Harvest Jubilee raised $4,000 to help support the organization.
“The Harvest Jubilee is about more than having a fun fall evening,” LUMC Pastor Chris Huskins said. “It gives us an opportunity to bring people together, welcome our neighbors, and support an organization doing important work in our community.”
Raffle tickets for the pellet grill are $10 each and available from LUMC members. The Harvest Jubilee will also feature a silent auction with items donated by local businesses, church members, and community supporters.
Liberty United Methodist Church was founded in 1786 and continues its mission of “Growing in faith. Serving in love.” For more information about the Harvest Jubilee or LUMC, visit online at Liberty1786.com.
