Coach Curry visits Lake Country Yellow Jackets

Sixty members of the Lake Country Yellow Jackets (LCYJ) fan club were honored to host Coach Bill Curry and his wife of 61 years, Carolyn, at their monthly luncheon held at Lake Oconee Bistro.

There, they listened to stories from Curry’s rich history of playing and coaching college and professional football. “There are two types of pain that you can’t forget: pain in discipline or pain of regret,” was the message Curry shared with the group.

Curry’s inspirational message of overcoming pain and acceptance of adversity was as relevant and relatable today as it was when he played football for Georgia Tech.

The LCYJ fan club meets for lunch on the last Wednesday of each month at Lake Oconee Bistro and everyone is welcome.
