On Feb. 17, 23 counties from across the state of Georgia participated in Cloverleaf District Project Achievement at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.
More than 461 youth from these counties participated in public speaking and culinary competitions.
Greene County was proud to have 31 competitors in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades at the event, representing Carson Middle School, Lake Oconee Academy, and the Homeschool community. At the event, youth shared presentations they had spent weeks working to perfect.
4-H’ers were judged on their overall appearance, presentation skills, and knowledge of their subject.
At the competition, each child was placed in a topic-specific category to compete against other 4-H’ers from around the state. Greene County 4-H was honored to walk away with several first-, second- and third-place winners, as well as the largest increase in participation and the largest percentage of increase in participation.

Our program would not be successful without 4-H volunteers such as Jon Dill, Wendy Dill, and Sherley Selman, who dedicated their time and energy to make the best better.
