Greene County Deputy Jonathan Franco has been fired by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office for violating the deputy’s oath of office and having an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to a letter from Chief Deputy Richard Campbell filed in Franco’s personnel records.

Lake Oconee Academy (LOA) girls’ soccer has wrapped up its regular season and now has shifted its focus toward the postseason. The Lady Titans finished the regular season with a 7-5-2 overall record and a solid 5-1 mark in region play.

Lady Titans crowned region champs

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ tennis team recently captured the region championship. Last week, the Lady Titans knocked off Aquinas in straight sets to win a third consecutive region title.

BOE files complaint about LOA admittance
