Blood drives scheduled for Oct. 10, Oct. 12

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

The Rotary Club of Morgan County is sponsoring a blood drive in Madison on Oct. 10 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Madison Presbyterian Church, 328 Main St. Each pint donated can save up to three lives.

Walk-ins also welcome! A photo ID is required.


  • EAT iron rich foods like green veggies, red meat & cook in an iron skillet and get your vitamin C.
  • DRINK plenty of water, avoid caffeine.

A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at Christ our King & Savior Catholic Church on Lake Oconee Parkway (across from Publix) on Thursday, October 12 sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. The drive starts at 11:30 AM and runs to 5:30 PM. Walk-ins welcome, but appointments receive priority.
