Alan Horton, CEO of Putnam General Hospital, receives an envelope of vouchers for gasoline from Cooper Rainey of Rossee Oil. “You can’t imagine how touched the PGH staff is during this pandemic,” said Marsha Grimes, PGH Foundation director. “We are so appreciative of all the meals, snacks and prayers from this community.” Last week was National Hospital Week but COVID-19 put a halt to the usual celebrations. Because it is deemed unsafe to gather in large groups, PGH and other hospitals weren’t able to conduct the contests, picnics and other activities normally commemorating the event. Moved by the efforts of local hospital staff during the pandemic, Rossee Oil representatives said they wanted to “do something for them.” Showing its appreciation, the company gave each of the 141 PGH employees a gas voucher to fill up their personal vehicle. “Thank you again Rossee Oil for the vouchers and for your support of Putnam General Hospital,” Grimes said.
