Gladys McElhannon Noggle, of Greensboro, GA, died on Monday, February 17, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, at the age of 86.

Funeral Services were held Friday, February 21, 2020 at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. Rev. Kenny Marr officiated. Interment followed in the Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers were Jamie Seymour, Cody Seymour, Scott Burgess, Troy Waldroup, Mark Cliett, and Kevin Slocumb. Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Hobbs, Brandon Knight, Bobby Peacock, and David Cliett.

A lifelong resident of Greensboro she was born on February 1, 1934 to Sarah Young McElhannon Watkins of Greensboro, GA and the late Emory Thomas McElhannon. She attended school in Greensboro and worked for Mary Leila Cotton Mill as a spooler. She enjoyed being with and helping her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Noggle; father, Emory McElhannon; son, Danny Noggle; sister, Gwynell Noggle; and brother, Richard McElhannon.

In addition to her mother, Sarah Young McElhannon Watkins of Greensboro, survivors include her daughters, Trenia Seymour (Al) of Greensboro, Kathy Waldroup (Bobby) of Greensboro, Sarah Oswald (Jim) of Monro, and Connie Cliett (David) of Dearing; daughter-in-law, Carlene Noggle of Greensboro; grandchildren, Ray Waldroup (Janalyn), David Waldroup, Jody Burgess (Chris), Scott Burgess (Christy), Troy Waldroup (Wendy), Marcus Cliett, Matthew Cliett, Anthony Hobbs, Donna Whitehead, Jamie Seymour (Melissa), Cody Seymour (Ritaanne), Jessica Slocumb (Kevin), Dan Noggle and Amanda Kitchens (Kelvin); great grandchildren, Emily Waldroup, Grace Waldroup, Juleigh McDaniel (Lewis), Bailey Waldroup, Brandon Knight, Dain Burgess, Jake Burgess, Breanna Waldroup, Candice Cliett Kimmie Morrissette, Justin, Kelsey, Mason Seymour, Blake Vandiver, Kailey Slocumb, and one on the way (Kylee Slocumb), Wyatt Kitchens, William Kitchens and Kenzie Kitchens; great grandchildren, Paisley McDaniel, and Carleigh; two brothers, Nathan McElhannon of Eatonton, and Bo McElhannon of Eatonton; a number of other relatives and friends.
