Harmony Crossing is now accepting vendor applications for the 2020 Farmer’s Market Season. The 2020 season will start on Saturday, May 2, and conclude on Saturday, Sept. 26 for a total of 22 markets. The 2020 vendor fee will be $150 for a full season pass (per market cost with this option is $6.82) or $15 per market option for vendors who choose to pay for each Saturday individually. CONTRIBUTED The ladies of Del Webb Lake Oconee’s Sew Much Fun Club, spearheaded by Fran Gravgaard, recently delivered 10 colorful “scrap” quilts to the residents of Greene County’s Circle of Love. The so called scrap quilts are called this because they are made from the quilters own stash of fabrics. These cheerful quilts now add a sunny note to many of the lady’s rooms. The Madison Police Department is investigating the theft of lottery tickets at the Golden Pantry Store that may have resulted in losses exceeding $14,000. According to reports, an employee cashed in a $500 winning ticket at the Pilot truck stop, but it was not yet known if the ticket was one among those stolen from the store. Mark Allen Grey, 32, of Roseville, Michigan was arrest-ed Feb. 25 and charged on warrants for fraud and failure to meet child support obligations out of Michigan. Keyshawn Gregory Guess, 24 of Columbia, South Carolina was arrested Feb. 26 and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a fire arm during the commission of a crime. Dazchia Ajee Williams, 22, of Columbia, South Carolina was arrested Feb. 26 and charged with fleeing or at-tempting to elude a police officer, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. Frederick Alfred Barham-Walton, 45, of Monroe was arrested Feb. 26 and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, distracted driving and a tag light violation. Michael Bellamy, 29 of Greensboro was arrested Feb. 26 on a warrant issued for the crime of giving false information to a police officer. Nathan Quentez Few, 24, was arrested Feb. 27 and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.Read more
